Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)

Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS)
The AF DMSMS program seeks to proactively manage obsolescence issues in order to improve supply chain support to the warfighter. As the air fleet increases in age the thousands of components and parts that make up these aircraft become increasingly harder to acquire. By utilizing a predictive tool and performing analyses on identified parts we are able to both proactively (Loading and reviewing Bills of Materials during the acquisition phase) and reactively (Reviewing parts/components in existing Bills of Materials) address obsolescence issues.
The Shared Data Warehouse (SDW) Air Force Module is a program for the identification and management of obsolescence issues. SDW is a web-based application leveraging existing information, data resources, and business processes; providing all three Air Logistics Centers with a single point to submit Life of Type buys received from DLA.
