What does the Airman and Family Readiness Center do?
We strive to enhance the quality of life, the A&FRC team of professional staff and volunteers serve as the command's service organization to enhance community readiness! To accomplish this, the A&FRC:
Works with unit leadership to find ways of enhancing family quality of life
We are the primary resource for coordination and consultation with other base and civilian agencies to strengthen base policies and programs, all in an effort to benefit the military community.
We coordinate family programs, both on and off base
Acts as an information, referral and follow up source
Provide workshops teaching financial management, transitioning assistance, and home buying skills.
Why is Airman and Family readiness important?
The military recognizes that there is a direct relationship between a member's ability to successfully accomplish a mission, and the quality of life, which his or her family experiences. Because, of this relationship, many programs and policies are available to promote a positive family environment. We are constantly reaching out to find ways to enhance the skills of our members, not only for military readiness, but for family strengthening.
Provide leadership, individuals, and families with programs and services which reinforce military readiness, retention, and sense of community. Thereby, promoting self-sufficiency, responsibility and adaptation; through information and education, to stressors of military life.
We provide service to all branches of the military; active duty military members and their families, Guard and Reserve members and their eligible dependents, retired military personnel to include their dependents, and to DoD civilians and their qualified dependents.
