There’s an app for that: DOD ID cardholders now allowed to enter base as delivery drivers

Earlier this month, 72nd Air Base Wing and Tinker Installation Commander Col. G. Hall Sebren Jr. signed a memo allowing Department of Defense-credentialed identification cardholders to enter the base while employed as drivers for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash or similar delivery-type companies. The IDs must be in the form of a common access, dependent or retiree card.

The memo states that “personnel must identify themselves as a driver in the employment of said company” to the 72nd Security Forces Squadron Defenders when stopping at the gate for an ID check. Vehicles being used for this secondary employment are authorized to use any gate to enter the installation.
