Do you have a dependent or a spouse thinking about college?  Are you looking for grants and scholarships?  Did you know AFAS has education grants for dependents & spouses?
   Recognizing that higher education costs are raising, the Society provides $2,000 education grants (to eligible applicants as described below) for assisting in the payment of tuition, books, fees or other direct education expenses. Last year, a total of 78 Tinker AFB spouses and dependents received grants. The award selection is based on the following criteria:

   b) Or, the student must be the spouse of an active duty Air Force member or Title 10 Reservist on extended active duty (spouses of retirees, other Reservists, or ANG members are not eligible at this time). The spouse must reside and attend school within CONUS and be legally married to member at time of application AND disbursement of award;
   c) Or, student must be the surviving spouse of an Air Force member who died while on active duty or in retired status.
   d) All students must be accepted for enrollment in a college, university or vocational/trade school whose accreditation is accepted by the Department of Education.
   e) All students must be accepted for enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year.
   f) All students must maintain a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average.
   g) All students must demonstrate financial need (competing only against other Air
Force families under a less restrictive needs test than Federal programs.)
