Their inspection is just around the corner. The 72nd Medical Group will undergo a "Health Services Inspection and civilian accreditation beginning Feb. 25 and culminating Feb. 29.
A nine-member military team from the Air Force Inspector General's office will work in conjunction with a three-member civilian team from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare to closely examine all aspects of healthcare delivery at the 72nd MDG.
"This is really our chance to show what a great team we have," said Col. Roger Goetz, 72nd MDG commander. "The inspectors review every facet of what we do to validate that we are following Air Force directives and healthcare standards. This ensures that our patients are getting the quality of healthcare they deserve and that we are meeting our overall mission."
The teams will be conducting numerous meetings and assessments throughout the medical facilities during the week. Patients at the 72nd MDG may experience some minor delays in service due to clinic personnel involvement in these meetings.
"I want to ensure our patients that we'll do everything we can to minimize these impacts during this one week," Colonel Goetz said. "Our patients and our mission are our number one priority."
