Uniform requirements are straightforward

The mandate is simple.
All Air Force Materiel Command Airmen are required to wear specific uniforms on particular days.
"These uniforms remind us of our fellow Airmen who are deployed around the globe, and they are a symbol of our unified support," wrote Gen. Bruce Carlson, AFMC commander, in a memorandum nearly a year ago.
Every day, except the last working day of each month, an Airman is required to wear his battle dress uniform or Airman battle dress uniform, if he has been issued one. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center personnel may wear flight suits in place of BDUs and ABDUs.
On the last work day of each month, between now and March 31, AFMC Airmen must wear a long sleeve shirt and tie or tie tab. Between April 1 and Oct. 31, Airmen may wear any combination of the blue uniform.
Airmen can be excused from wearing the blue uniform combination when normal duties cannot be performed. In this circumstance, Airmen may wear BDUs, ABDUs or flight suits, if permitted by their squadron commanders or directors. Yet, this exception may be postponed for only one month, Robert J. Conner, former OC-ALC director, wrote in a memo from earlier this year.
If an Airman opts to not wear the appropriate uniform on the respective day, he can be disciplined as the mandate is ordered by General Carlson, said retired Master Sgt. Glenn Grubis, 72nd Mission Support Group Casualty Assistance representative and Base Dress and Appearance point of contact.
