Tyler D. Bowen is a logistics management specialist in the 72nd Logistics Readiness Squadron.

He served for eight-and-a-half years in the Air Force and has one year of civil service.

Originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas, Bowen enjoys fishing, grilling and smoking meat and spending time with his family.

As a logistics management specialist, Bowen is responsible for precise planning and organization for deployments, redeployments and exercises. He must ensure that equipment and people are where they need to be when they need to be there. It is a crucial job, where all possible aspects, phases and contingencies must be considered, he said. Bowen works with many other organizations to make sure every mission is carried out safe and successfully according to their plan. “No two days are the same,” he said.

Bowen said COVID-19 has caused many challenges in the deployment/redeployment world and caused them to think outside the box.
