A pit box during operation. The equipment on the right is the operational equipment used to energize the E-3 aircraft for testing. The middle bay shows a monitor and keyboard the operators use to monitor and operate the system. An identical set of equipment is kept in the left bay, as requested by the customer. Should a piece fail and need to be replaced, this provides them a replacement part for immediate replacement.
