Disability Fun Run
David Satre, with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, glides to the finish line in the National Disability Employment Awareness Month Fun Run/Walk held Oct. 5. Col. Kenyon Bell, 72nd Air Base Wing commander, gave opening remarks to approximately 30 participants and spoke about this year’s theme, “Inclusion Drives Innovation” and how the Air Force is continuing to build a culture to embrace diversity and is committed to recruit, retain and advance people with disabilities throughout our workforce. Currently, approximately 265,000, or 14 percent, of Department of Defense employees are disabled. (Air Force photo by Kelly White)
