Tinker Air Force Base to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day

As a part of its Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, Tinker’s African-American Heritage Council will feature guest speaker Rev. Michael M. McDaniel, the pastor of Northeast Missionary Baptist Church, located in Forest Park, from 11 a.m. to noon Jan. 17 at the base’s Tinker Chapel.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration will also highlight a special rendition of King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech performed by BerThaddaeus Bailey, co-founder of Speaks 4 You, Inc., a local nonprofit founded by Bailey and co-founder JaQuitta Dever. Speaks 4 You provides unique speaking and instruction styles for Northeastern Oklahomans and low-income communities across the nation.
