Native American Heritage Month

Members of the Absentee Shawnee Veterans Association performed a flag retreat Nov. 16 at the 72nd Air Base Wing Headquarters building in honor of Native American Heritage Month. Brent Greenwood played a drum and sang the Osage Flag Song and Walter Chrysler danced a native dance. Since November is recognized nationally as Native American Heritage Month, the Tinker Inter-Tribal Council hosted an arts and crafts show and a lunch and learn to celebrate and educate others on Native American culture.
