TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --

For 10 July, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Bravo Plus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest confirmed cases include 3 civilians assigned to OC-ALC (B2122 and B3220), a Navy member (B820), an AFLCMC civilian (B3001), a 72 FSS civilian (Youth Center), a military member assigned to the 72 MDG and his 2 dependents, a 552 ACW member (B284), a civilian assigned to 507 MXG (B1030), and a civilian assigned to 72 ABW/CE (B1137). Health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly.

The Defense Department has begun an effort to collect 8,000 donated units of plasma from patients who have recovered from COVID-19 to support the development of an effective treatment against the disease. Patients fully recovered from COVID-19 qualify to be a COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) donor. Donations will be accepted at 15 Armed Services Blood Program centers across the United States.
