TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --

Gina Goss, a management assistant in the 424th Supply Chain Management Squadron, has been in civil service for one year.

The Midwest City, Oklahoma, native enjoys camping in her spare time.

As a government purchase cardholder, Goss routinely makes purchases of supplies.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was determined that the 848th Supply Chain Management Group was not adequately stocked with the necessary cleaning supplies or hand sanitizer to ensure personnel could return to work areas safely.  When her attempts at purchasing the supply items through normal supply channels failed due to the overwhelming demand by the masses, Goss’ unwavering “can do” attitude pushed her to perform direct calls to local businesses in the pursuit of finding the needed supplies.

Once Goss had found the necessary supplies, she quickly made the purchases -- ensuring the group would have the first wave of the necessary cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer ready for personnel to come back to their work areas safely.

Goss also spearheaded the efforts in transporting the supplies from off base to Tinker and loading the supplies into storerooms.  She created templates for bottles and shared with other personnel who are distributing the supplies within their organizations.
