F-4 line in Bldg. 3001

The F-4 Phantom II entered military service to the Air Force in 1963. In the early years, it served as the primary fighter-bomber of the Air Force until aircraft production ended in 1979. Between July 1970 and June 1972, more than 100 F-4s passed through Tinker for maintenance. (Air Force photo)
