Colonel TAMILYN S. DISMUKES

Colonel Tamilyn S. Dismukes is the Deputy Commander of the 72nd Air Base Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Her responsibilities include leading nearly 3,000 Airmen overseeing $5.4 billion in resources and a $311 million operating budget. She provides installation support for over 27,000 personnel assigned to Headquarters, Air Force Sustainment Center, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, 552nd Air Control Wing, Navy Strategic Communications Wing One, 507th Air Refueling Wing, 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, and 45 other units including the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, and the 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group. The 72nd ABW enables numerous critical missions at Tinker AFB, the largest single-site employer in Oklahoma.

Col Dismukes received her commission from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, in May 2002. She has held various duties during her career including squadron commander, branch chief, flight commander, executive officer, and tour director for Tops in Blue 2005. She also served on two headquarters staffs (Air Staff, US Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa), worked for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness, the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering, the Joint Staff J-7, and has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and JOINT GUARDIAN.
