STEPHEN D. GRAY

Mr. Stephen (Steve) D. Gray is the Executive Director, Air Force Sustainment Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He is responsible for assisting the commander in providing operational planning and execution of Air Force supply chain management and depot maintenance missions for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles and component items in support of Air Force Materiel Command missions. He assists in overseeing operations that span three air logistics complexes, three air base wings, two supply chain wings, and a software directorate across multiple remote locations that incorporate approximately 40,000 military and civilian personnel. Additionally, he helps ensure installation support to more than 75,000 personnel working in 140 associate units at the three AFSC bases.

Mr. Gray enlisted in the Air Force in 1983, graduated from Officer Training School in 1994, and served as a Logistician and Operations Research Analyst during his active-duty career. Upon his retirement from active duty, Mr. Gray served as an Operations Research Analyst for IB Logistics. In 2014, Mr. Gray joined civil service as Branch Chief, Performance Management Division, Logistics Directorate, Air Force Sustainment Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Gray was the Director of the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing where he was responsible for providing the enterprise-wide strategic planning and execution of the Air Force supply chain, where he exercised the wing’s budget authority worth more than $7.2 billion annually to provide sustainment for the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, federal agencies and multiple foreign allies worldwide.
