Teammates,
It is a busy time in our Air Force and we are entering into the quick cadence of the holiday season. However, across both work and family, there is always room for gratitude.
This week we will each celebrate Thanksgiving in a variety of ways. However you choose, practicing a ‘gratitude attitude’ will not only make you a happier, more resilient person, but can also change the world around you. Expressing gratitude to others is essential to sustaining healthy relationships. Reach out to your wingmen to offer the encouragement and support we all need. Also, let’s not forget our veterans, for whom we are grateful not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.
With that, please know my deep appreciation to you for a year full of Air Force Sustainment Center successes. Every milestone, every step of progress, every win is directly attributed to your efforts. In my visits to AFSC units, I see firsthand your outstanding work that keeps our Air Force flying and ready to win. I am grateful to be part of this skilled team who daily makes the remarkable look routine.
Thank you for all you do for AFSC, our Air Force, and our nation. Happy Thanksgiving!
Lt. Gen. Gene Kirkland
Commander, Air Force Sustainment Center
