TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Oklahoma -- Base open, liberal leave:
Team Tinker,
Due to inclement weather conditions, the Tinker Installation Commander has authorized LIBERAL LEAVE for ALL shifts, beginning with 1st shift (Day), May 20, for Tinker AFB personnel except those designated weather essential/emergency. The policy will remain in effect for remaining shifts (Swing / Mid (Grave). Military members should coordinate with supervisors, but liberal leave is recommended.
Employees electing to use (“liberal leave”) are reminded that they are required to notify their immediate supervisors that they are taking leave.
Tinker officials will continue to monitor the weather conditions and will issue operating status updates as needed.
Base personnel should continue to monitor local television and radio stations for Tinker operating status information or go to the installation’s public home page at www.tinker.af.mil or call Tinker’s Straight Talkline at 734-1900. Personnel are reminded to NOT call base operations, the Tinker Command Post or security forces for weather updates.
