Two people were recently honored with Wildcatter awards from 72nd Air Base Wing Commander Col. Paul Filcek.

Senior Airman Caleb Epp has performed his duties with the 72nd Security Forces Squadron as a visitor control center badging clerk since January 2019. During this period, Epp led two shifts and four Airmen as a pass and registration clerk. He trained three new hires, vetted four thousand visitors, identified and denied 240 felons base entry and supported Air Force Materiel Command’s largest customer base.

Additionally, Epp led 125 volunteers in support of the “Red Tie Night” fundraiser, which hosted the Oklahoma City Council and 500 guests. His efforts helped raise $800,000 toward the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund.

Finally, Epp networked computer systems in support of Security Forces Flight Operations, along with the unit client support administrator. He coordinated with multiple S-functions in a joint effort which saved the unit $1,000 and 24 man-hours.

Second Lt. Tobey Zicopula has performed her duties as the 72nd Force Support Squadron readiness officer since July 2018. In March, Zicopula expertly managed the March 2019 War Wagon exercise and coordinated eight Force Support Squadron personnel to participate as key members of the inspection and obtain required training, while successfully leading the severely undermanned Commander’s Support Staff at 25% manning. She meticulously reviewed the team’s records and performed thorough inspections of the team’s bags, resulting in zero discrepancies.

Additionally, she tenaciously rectified and closed six long-standing observations from base and Air Force Materiel Command Inspector General inspections.

Furthermore, her wingman attitude and genuine care for her people showed as she guided an Airman through medical retirement ensuring a smooth transition.

Finally, her Art of the Possible project on reducing training times produced a 19% drop in time required and drove an uptick of nearly seven points on end of course tests.
