Lockdown Lifted at Tinker Air Force Base

Tinker Air Force Base is currently “all clear” after the base went on lockdown Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 at approximately 2:49 p.m. The “all clear” was given at approximately 3:05 p.m. Tinker leadership initiated the lockdown following a report of a brandished firearm on the installation.   Security Forces determined that the individual was an undercover law enforcement officer authorized to carry a weapon on base.  We are grateful for the training base personnel receive to enable quick responses to suspected danger.  No injuries occurred during this incident.
