TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Tinker air show officials are seeking input from base personnel on a new logo as a re-branding effort begins for the Tinker Air and Space Show in June 2021.
This opportunity gives the chance base personnel to be a part of history. Creative ideas and elements to be incorporated into the air show logo are requested by March 18.
“Not only do logos build a brand and assist with marketing initiatives, they can also define the very aspect of who and what Team Tinker is,” said Col. Paul Filcek, 72nd Air Base Wing commander. “I foresee our air show logo encapsulating who we are and I believe Tinker isa major leverage point of America’s air power.”
Tinker air show officials have already started the re-branding initiative to formally name the air show the Tinker Air and Space Show, while dropping “Star Spangled Salute” from the name.
The logo elements should contain the following:
- What we do and who we are at Tinker.
- The partnerships we have within surrounding communities and statewide.
- Be simple, be explainable, be recognizable and be memorable.
- Avoid catch phrases, themes, or past air show name elements.
Send any logo concepts or renderings with an explanation of your concept to 72ABW.PA.Workflow@us.af.mil by March 18.
Note: This is a volunteer contribution and the final rendering may contain multiple elements from different entries. There is no attribution or personal gain besides being part of Team Tinker’s desire for another outstanding air show.
