Editor's Note: The “AFSC Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.
Ricardo Edelman is a manager at the Hill's Commissary. His hometown is Los Angeles, California.
Ricardo's experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:
"In our effort to provide a service to military personnel, we have made some changes that will hopefully make it safer for our customers and employees. All our employees wear gloves. The customer scans the ID access card without it being touched by employees. We installed Plexiglass barriers between the customer and cashiers. To help with social distancing, we only allow 75 customers in the store at any time. We have 75 carts and every customer must have a cart, which also helps customers keep their distance while standing in line. I have so much appreciation for our employees and our volunteers, who make it all happen around here."
