Tinker remains in HPCON Charlie

Update from the Installation Commander

Update from the Installation Commander

Team Tinker,

For 31 March, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Team Tinker will be alerted every time a new COVID-19 case is confirmed. There have been zero additional cases confirmed since last week.

As a reminder, the 72nd Security Forces Squadron has restricted public access to several facilities: the visitor center is open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Only 9 visitors instead of 12 will be allowed in the lobby at one time, so many will be met and asked to wait in the vehicle during processing.

Do you have non-medical related COVID-19 concerns or questions to base leadership you wish to have answered? You may reach out to the Straight Talk Center at 405-734-2567. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Sick call procedures have changed. When reporting, members will check in at the WHITE tent near the entrance of the hospital. If the member has any upper-respiratory systems, they will be sent to one of the two tents in the Med Group parking lot. For those who have injuries or other illnesses, they should call 405-734-2778 and a provider will schedule an appointment for them. This individual must then go through initial screening before they are allowed to enter the hospital.

Finally, the Child Development Centers have consolidated from three to two. Until further notice, all care will be at CDC West and CDC South.

Information on positive cases, travel movement, hours of operation, gate hours, base closures and more can be found on www.tinker.af.mil/coronavirus/

REMINDER: For those who believe they may have been exposed can contact the 24 hour COVID-19 Hotline: 405-582-6297. If you have been exposed to the coronavirus, do NOT come to the base. Return home and contact your Primary Care Doctor or the hotline. To keep safe as possible, please limit any travel to just work, groceries, medical, and outdoor exercise like running, biking and calisthenics.
