Update from the Installation Commander

Team Tinker,
For 3 April, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Confirmed positive cases include a member of 76 CMXG from building 9001 who was quarantined on 20 March, and a member of 76 AMXG from building 3102 who was quarantined on 22 March. The 72nd Medical Group public health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly. Those who believe they may have been exposed can contact the 24 hour COVID-19 Hotline: 405-582-6297.

Beginning today, if a visitor has traveled outside the state of Oklahoma, and are not here for official business or visiting a base resident, they will be denied access. Contractors on official business and not displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 will be allowed onto the installation.

Please be aware the 72d Force Support Squadron and Tinker Living Facebook page and website (www.tinkerliving.com) are hosting the “Month of Virtual Fun” to engage our Tinker members online to help connect our team and bring happiness into your lives with a month of fun activities, contests, give-a-ways, and so much more. Visit their page for more details.

REMINDER: If you have been exposed to the coronavirus, do NOT come to the base. Return home and contact your Primary Care Doctor or the hotline. To keep safe as possible, please limit any travel to just work, groceries, medical, and outdoor exercise like running, biking and calisthenics.

Teammates, stay safe, healthy as we work through this together.
