For 16 April, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are aware of a potential DoD-level stop movement extension in response to COVID-19 that may come out soon. The original date was May 11.  A new confirmed date is not yet available, but as soon as we hear more we will release details.

A new collaboration suite called Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR), based on Microsoft Teams, is being rolled in phases by the Air Force.  It is not a phishing attempt, so do not ignore or delete messages concerning this capability.  This should ease some VPN/connection challenges.

Earlier this month, the Families First Corona Virus Act was passed. This legislation provides eligible employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for reasons related to COVID-19, effective 1 April through 31 Dec. Full details on components and who is eligible can be found here: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pandemic/ffcra-questions. If you believe you qualify or would like more details after a review of the site, contact your supervisor to discuss.

A reminder, the Hruskocy Gate is open from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday thru Friday. If you are experiencing longer than usual commute periods to base, use this gate. We will continue to evaluate gates to ease traffic while managing other concerns, with afternoon outbound traffic easement at the top of the list.  We appreciate your patience.

The Straight Talk Center for non-medical related COVID-19 concerns is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday. It can be reached at 405-734-2567.
