TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --
For 22 April, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest COVID-19 confirmed case was a member of DLA-Aviation who has been teleworking away from the installation since 17 March. Public Health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly.
Yesterday, the Department of the Air Force rapidly executed three contract awards worth $133 million to increase domestic N95 production. This will add around 13 million masks per month to the nation’s supply. The full article and details can be seen here: https://www.tinker.af.mil/…/air-force-expedites-n95-mask-p…/
The Straight Talk Center for non-medical related COVID-19 concerns is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday. It can be reached at 405-734-2567.
