Tinker Frontlines: Meet Dr. (Capt.) David Rodriquez from the 72nd Medical Group

Dr. (Capt.) David Rodriguez is the medical director of the 72nd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron. Originally from Colorado Springs, Rodriguez has served in the U.S. Air Force for three and a half years.

As the medical director, he oversees the medical aspect of the clinic. Along with Capt. Sabrena Bedwell, Rodriguez has been tasked with figuring out the ever-adapting response to COVID-19 by working with leadership and Public Health to screen and determine high-risk patients.

Rodriguez said the best thing about his job right now is collaborating and being involved with the decision-making in the clinic. He’s has been reading and learning as much as he can so he can help others adapt and create a plan to keep patients and staff safe. He also said he has been very impressed with new technicians just out of tech school who have shown their willingness to jump in and learn.
