For 28 April, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest COVID-19 confirmed case is a member of the 76 AMXG from building 3001 who has been on administrative leave since 14 April.  He tested positive on 27 April prior to an unrelated medical procedure (not symptomatic). Public Health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly.

Phase 2 of the Open Up and Recover Safely Plan begins 1 May for the state of Oklahoma. While this will cause changes around the local area, there are currently no gate, hour changes or reopenings on base. We will keep you updated as we progress with Tinker’s full capacity plan.

Worth to note is the CDC added six more conditions that may come with the disease. These include: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell. Should you have any of these symptoms, contact Tinker’s COVID-19 Hotline or your medical provider. Do NOT come on base.

For non-medical COVID-19 concerns, the Straight Talk Center is available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. It can be reached at 405-734-2567.
