Tinker Frontlines: Meet Mary Wood

Mary Wood, a jet engine mechanic inspector supervisor in the 76th Propulsion Maintenance Group, has served in the Air Force for 37 years.

Wood, from Newalla/Bethel Acres, said her favorite part of her job is supporting her country and the warfighter.

Wood is following a long family legacy at Tinker.

“My grandmother worked here during World War II,” she said. “Her family had a dairy behind the headquarters building before it was Tinker. My great grandparents are buried in the German cemetery by the golf course. My father was a missile mechanic here and I have always been proud to be employed here.”
