TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Craig Richards is a jet engine mechanical work inspector in the 546th Propulsion Maintenance Group’s F108 Assembly Shop.
The Maud, Oklahoma, native has 11 years of federal service. In his free time, Richards enjoys hunting, target practice and riding ATVs and RZRs across Oklahoma.
In his job, Richards assembles and inspects multiple variations of F108 jet engines for aircraft around the world. He says his favorite part of the job is “working with great people and the mission we are here to support.”
Richards’ supervisor says he is a “subject matter expert in his field and is heavily relied upon each day to complete the mission of providing serviceable F108 Jet Engines for aircraft deployed worldwide. Engine mechanics young and old seek Mr. Richards’ knowledge and guidance pertaining to the F108.”
