Inspection time
Inspecting common areas of the 72nd Air Base Wing Headquarters in Bldg. 460, Command Chief Master Sgt. Brian Lavoie and Commander Col. Steven Bleymaier look through cabinets of a media preparation room. Directed by Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, the health and wellness inspections are being carried out Air Force-wide as leaders strive to ensure their work areas create a healthy environment for everyone to carry out the mission. In a release last week the Air Force said, “The purpose of this inspection is to reinforce expectations for the workplace environment, correct deficiencies, and deter conditions that may be detrimental to good order and discipline. Commanders will look for and remove unprofessional or inappropriate items that hinder a professional working environment.” Areas used by all are the only places leadership will open drawers and cabinets. Personal areas including offices, desks and toolboxes will not be opened during the inspections. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
