A Tinker employee from the 544th Propulsion Maintenance Squadron was honored recently as the Combined Federal Campaign Outstanding Keyworker for a Large Organization. Rachel McArthur, organization monitor for the 76th Propulsion Maintenance Group, was one of five volunteers recognized by the United Way during an Early Bird Reception held Nov. 15.

Ms. McArthur has "a little over 2,000 employees" in her area, her nomination reads. She has "dozens of keyworkers who worked under her in different shops" at Tinker Air Force Base.

Ms. McArthur contacted all of her keyworkers long before CFC officially kicked off. She mandated that her keyworkers attend keyworker training, which "played a pivotal role in their understanding of CFC and the success of the CFC campaign" in the PMXG.

"Rachel was the most organized keyworker with whom I worked," her nominee wrote. "She notified us very early in the campaign of when her rallies would be and which non-profits she wanted to speak. She did a fantastic job organizing the employees to come to rallies. She booked conference rooms and break rooms and got all her crews to come to the rallies. When a crew was running late for a rally, she would be sure to run over to their shop and 'rally the troops'. She did a fantastic job of filling meeting room after meeting room with potential donors day after day."

Tinker Air Force Base held a pancake breakfast this year as our kick-off event for CFC, and Ms. McArthur "played a big role" in its success.

Ms. McArthur was "energetic and excited about CFC," the nomination concludes. "She cares about our community and views CFC as an important part of helping people in need in our community. She was a fantastic cheerleader. She did a great job of getting people to come to rallies and getting them excited" about CFC.
