Bowlers compete for base title

The 2012 Base Championship Tournament attracted 35 bowlers last Saturday to the Tinker Bowling Center.

Eight women competed in the Ladies Division, while the Men's Division drew 27 contestants, according to Bowling Center General Manager Brett Moler.

Winners in the Ladies Division were Kathleen Kelley, first; Celene Brewbaker, second; and Shirley Harmon, third. The other entrants were Rhonda Wright, Jennifer Everitt, Diana Thompson, Deborah Frazier and Rosie Hinman.

In the Men's Division, Stephen Kelley captured first place, and Curtis Vincent came in second; William Davis, third; James Cantere, fourth; and Jason Baer, fifth.

The other contestants were Hans Schell, Corey Selbe, John Griffin, Michael West, Kevin Wallace, Wesley Everitt, Daniel Wexstaff, Paul Brewbaker III, John Hill, Eric Harmon, Glen Banister, Robert Houston, Joshua Meeks, Terry Smith, Brent Williams, Jason Uncancgo, Mike Cumella, Jose Germosen, Josh Graver, Curtis Williams, George Maxwell and Quentin Green.

Vincent rolled a perfect 300 game during the USBC-sanctioned tournament and will receive a "300" jacket from the Bowling Center and a "300" ring from the U.S. Bowling Congress, Moler said.
