Seven teams bowl in tournament

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  Seven two-person teams entered the Parent/Child Nine-Pin, No-Tap Tournament last Saturday at the Tinker Bowling Center, General Manager Brett Moler reported.

The first place prize for the highest combined score went to George and Lexus Maxwell; second place, Gerald and Nick Davis; and third place, Jacob and Aiden Jahr. The other teams were comprised of Kristy Dalton and Charisma Meeks, Jennifer and Jonah Shearer, Jennifer and Noah Shearer, and Ricky and Marshall Golden.

The ages of the children ranged from 6 to 14.

In a 9-pin, no-tap contest, knocking down nine pins counts the same as a 10-pin strike.

The next Junior event at the Bowling Center will be a Junior 9-Pin, No-Tap Tournament scheduled for April 28, Moler said.
