It’s not too late to register for the Pre-Deployment Family Retreat Published March 27, 2012 Force Support Squadron TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Have you registered for next month's Pre-Deployment Family Retreat? If not, you have only a couple of weeks left to do so. Registration ends April 6 for the three-day, two-night event. The purpose of the retreat, which is set for April 13-15, is to connect spouses to each other and their squadron support systems, organize helping agencies into a single and comprehensive deployment care system, provide for deployed opportunities to create shared memories that will relieve stress (pre- and post-deployment) and educate everyone how to strengthen (pre-deployment), sustain (mid-deployment) and find ultimate success (post-deployment) in all their important relationships. The retreat equips family members to deal with day-to-day situations while the active duty member is deployed. This preparation allows the deployed Airman to focus more clearly on the mission instead of distractions that come from a family in crisis. For more information or to register, call Chaplain (Capt.) Kraig Smith or Tech. Sgt. Joshua Getsrich at the Tinker Chapel at 734-2111.
