Tinker Gate Updates Published Feb. 16, 2012 Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- · Beginning Feb. 18, the Hope Gate (Gate 30) will no longer be open 24/7. Hope Gate is the entrance to the satellite 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installations Group compound located east of Tinker proper and Douglas Boulevard. Hope Gate will operate from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays and will be closed on federal holidays. In the event an employee assigned to the 38th CEIG compound requires access outside the new hours, the employee should contact the 72nd Security Forces Squadron at 734-3737 for assistance. · The Lancer Gate will reopen when the city's utility project on Douglas Boulevard is completed. Oklahoma City Utilities Department estimates that to be sometime around Feb. 25. This date is fluid based on weather and other factors that could hold up progress. Until then, officials ask for continued patience and remind drivers that in addition to the Hruskocy Gate, the Eaker and Tinker Gates are available and accessible from Interstate 40.
