Col. Bleymaier to take command of 72nd Air Base Wing

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  Col. Steven Bleymaier will succeed Col. Bob LaBrutta as the 72nd Air Base Wing commander Jan. 6. The change-of-command ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in the Tinker Club ballroom.

Colonel Bleymaier, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center vice commander and director of Propulsion for the Air Force, came to Tinker this past summer. Prior to his arrival, Colonel Bleymaier led the 20th Maintenance Group at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.

Colonel LaBrutta leaves Tinker for MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., where he will serve as the U.S. Central Command Director of Manpower and Personnel.

Colonel LaBrutta came to Tinker in the summer of 2010 from Langley Air Force Base, Va., where he had served as the Director of Manpower, Personnel and Services at Air Combat Command Headquarters.
