OC-ALC outlines FY12 Strategic Goals Published Oct. 28, 2011 Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center Chief of Staff Office TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The twin themes of continuity and change figured prominently at Maj. Gen. David Gillett's State of the ALC address this week. As fiscal 2012 gets under way, the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center commander emphasized that the Center vision, mission, and strategic goals remain the same. The Center continues to strive to be one team, the aerospace logistics provider of choice, and an organization capable of delivering and sustaining air power -- any time, and any place. Addressing a joint meeting of the Air Force Association and the Logistics Officer Association, General Gillett added that while the goals for FY12 remain the same, there are key areas where the Center must radically transform to succeed in the current environment. Breakthrough Performance Areas include rapid improvements in Acquisition Performance, Employee Safety, Depot Maintenance, and Energy Conservation, with additional emphasis on beginning KC-46 and F135 workload properly. The presentation also marks the official rollout of the Fiscal Year 2012 Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center Strategy Plan, soon to be available on the Tinker homepage. The plan describes the Center's goals, objectives, breakthrough performance areas, and the strategy to achieve the goals for the year. "If you've paid any attention to the news, you know that these are difficult times financially for Tinker, AFMC and the Air Force as a whole," General Gillett said. "However, by continuing to transform how we do business here at the Center, we will accomplish our critical mission in support of the warfighter."
