Col. Bob LaBrutta, 72nd Air Base Wing commander, recently awarded three members of the 72nd Medical Group with Wildcatter Awards.

Capt. Amy C. Stoots, 72nd Medical Group, has been an exceptional leader and clinical nurse for both the Gynecological and Pediatric clinics.

She directed care for 16,000 GYN/Peds beneficiaries, generating 13,200 patient visits, totaling $1.2 million in revenue averting $60,000 in network costs.

Captain Stoots supervised the referral program for specialty clinics, securing appropriate levels of care for 140 patients and recapturing $6,000 in outsourcing. Furthermore, she audited 52 AD medical records resulting in 100 percent readiness rating directly contributing to the 72nd MDG "Outstanding" rating during the Health Services Inspection.

Additionally, Captain Stoots spearheaded two Women's Health static education displays that reached 54,000 beneficiaries. She is also a member of the 72nd ABW Sexual Case Management Team, personally ensuring individuals receive appropriate care and treatment.

Senior Airman Angia Camp has been an integral part of the 72nd MDG and the Public Health Flight. During the past six months she has managed the communicable disease program, safeguarding the health of 92 pregnant workers by identifying potential health hazards, recommending duty restrictions and ensuring zero exposures. Her management of four critical programs was essential to the Public Health flight receiving top ratings in their programs and in the group receiving an "Outstanding" score during the 2010 Health Services Inspection.

Additionally, she processed 57 initial fly physicals, by screening and expediting required exams thus, helping to fill seven pilot and navigator positions along with 50 other critical aircrew positions.

Airman Camp's attention to detail was critical in completing 166 sanitation inspections where she ensured food safety for more than 10,000 patrons in Tinker facilities.

Furthermore, her assistance in the Deployment Medicine program played a major impact in helping to process 416 Airman in support of Operation Odessy Dawn in 72 hours and resulting in 100 percent of all mobility chalks meeting show times with zero Area of Responsibility discrepancies.

Robert Lewis, facility operations specialist, has been an integral part of the 72nd MDG and the Medical Logistics flight. His dedication and "service before self" work ethic propelled the Logistics flight toward receiving all "Outstanding" ratings during the Health Services Inspection in 2011.

Mr. Lewis has also led the 72nd MDG in its quest for energy savings, resulting in a 50 year old clinic being awarded the Energy Star. The 72nd MDG is one of only two Med Groups in the Air Force inventory to receive this award. His "can do" attitude has slashed the clinic's annual energy output by 44 percent.

Mr. Lewis also oversees the safety program for 529 members of the MDG and interacts with 52 safety monitors on a daily basis.
