Summer Bash is Saturday

It's finally here! Have some good ol' summertime fun at the 72nd Force Support Squadron's Summer Bash and Car and Motorcycle Show June 4.

The Car and Motorcycle Show will be on the base picnic grounds across from the golf course from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vehicle entry registration is $25 and runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Bash festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the open field area across the street from the base chapel and next to Bldg. 6001. These free events are open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders and their invited guests.

Bash activities will keep you going throughout the day with inflatable rides and games, such as Air Bourne, Water Tag, Giant Slide, Rock Wall, Fast Pitch, Spiderman Bounce, Ladder Crawl, Jurassic Jungle, Colossal Challenge, Pirate Ship Bounce and pony rides.

Under the big children's tent there will be Putt 'n Win, Duck Pond, Quack Attack, Lollipop Pull, Plinko, Can Smash, Go Fish, Ring Toss, Crazy Dots, Color Wheel and tattoo's. A wristband is available for $10 and allows kids access to all the games and rides for one price. Individual tickets are also available for 50 cents each.

A summer bash isn't complete without cotton candy, snow cones, burgers, brats and beverages. There will also be free hot dogs, chips and lemonade provided by Tinker Federal Credit Union. (While supplies last).

A Survivor Challenge begins at 10 a.m. and run throughout the day. The Survivor team is made up of seven tribe members consisting of one senior enlisted person, one junior enlisted person, a female, and a family member (these members cannot be voted out of the tribe), the reminder of tribe members must be from your organization. First place team receives $500 cash, a $1000 Force Support Squadron credit voucher, a commander's trophy and each team member will receive a Sprint PCS bag full of goodies. Second place team receives $250 cash, and a $500 Force Support Squadron credit voucher. Third place team receives $100 cash and a $250 Force Support Squadron credit voucher. Force Support Squadron vouchers are for use with a squadron party or tournament at the Club, Golf Course or Bowling Center. Survivor is sponsored in part by Sprint.

Live music by "Banana Seat" band will fill the air from 1 to 5 p.m. These talented musicians hail from the Norman/Oklahoma City area and are comprised of guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, plus two female vocalists and four horns.

Base ID card holders have a chance to win door prizes by filling out a bash entry card at the marketing table. Prizes include Speed Zone, Texas Ranger Tickets and hotel stay, Six Flags Over Texas and hotel stay, Medieval Times and hotel stay, Hurricane Harbor and hotel stay and more. (To participate in the door prize drawing you must have a base ID card and be over 18 years old to enter).
