TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Eight Airmen graduated from Tinker’s Installation Honor Guard course during a ceremony held here July 18, 2024.
The Tinker Installation Honor Guard course is an 8-day program that teaches Airmen to perform ceremonial duties and official functions. Airmen selected to serve in the Honor Guard are expected to execute official ceremonies and continue practicing drill for a year.
The Honor Guard has a proud history of serving at major military events such as retirements, change of commands and funerals. Honor Guard members are the representatives of the Military and for some Airmen it may be the most fulfilling year of their service.
Any Airman on Tinker who is interested in joining the honor guard should make their interest known to their senior enlisted leaders and first sergeants.
