Suicide saddens Tinker community

A Tinker AFB civilian employee died here early Tuesday morning in an apparent suicide.
Dead is Wayne Lassley, who served as a supervisory quality assurance specialist in the Quality/Process Improvement Office of the 76th Maintenance Wing

"The entire 76th MXW and all of Tinker shares this tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers are with the Lassley family, his friends and co-workers," said Vince Howie, 76th MXW vice director.

Mr. Lassley had served nearly 40 years in the federal service having retired in 1991 as a senior master sergeant and then working for 16 years as a civilian employee at Tinker.
The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is continuing to investigate the death.
