SCW-1 recognizes award winners

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  Strategic Communications Wing ONE and the Take Charge and Move Out community recognized the recipients of its 2010 yearly awards and the quarterly honors covering October through December 2010.

The recipients received their awards at the 49th TACAMO Community Council Luncheon, held Feb. 17 at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training High Bay.

At the luncheon, Rear Adm. Wendi B. Carpenter, commander of the Navy Warfare Development Command, served as the guest speaker. Admiral Carpenter was assigned to the "Ironmen" of Fleet Air Reconnaissance 3, Naval Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii, in 1981, where she served as a mission commander and instructor pilot in the EC-130/F/G/Q aircraft.

Those picked for yearly honors were:
· TACAMO Sea Sailor of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Christina Schatzle, Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Four
· TACAMO Shore Sailor of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Kenneth Kahlden, VQ-7
· TACAMO Junior Sailor of the Year: Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan Fuhrman, VQ-4
· TACAMO Blue Jacket of the Year: Petty Officer 3rd Class Corey Beggs, VQ-7
· Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Seven Instructor of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class James Reed
· Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Junior Instructor of the Year: Petty Officer 2nd Class Kelly Gee
· Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Senior Instructor of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Nathan Butts
· "Master Chief William P. 'Bill' Bright" TACAMO Maintainer of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Travis Carter, VQ-3
· TACAMO Aircrewman of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Lyons, VQ-3
· TACAMO Naval Flight Officer of the Year: Lt. Cody Scarborough, VQ-3
· "Lt. Jack Williams" TACAMO Pilot of the Year: Lt. Matthew Thompson, VQ-4
· TACAMO Junior Officer of the Year: Lt. David Desrochers, VQ-7
Those nominated and selected for quarterly honors were:
· Sailor of the Quarter: Petty Officer 1st Class Roger Ross, CNATT; Petty Officer 1st Class Sean McKenna, VQ-3; Petty Officer 1st Class Karla Gray, VQ-4; Petty Officer 1st Class Skipper Allen, VQ-7; Petty Officer 1st Class Jeff Lee, SCW-1. Petty Officer McKenna was selected as the TACAMO Sailor of the Quarter.
· Junior Sailor of the Quarter: Petty Officer 2nd Class Melissa Dye, CNATT; Petty Officer 2nd Class Erik Hallen, VQ-3; Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Dansby, VQ-4; Petty Officer 2nd Class Brittney Walker, VQ-7; Petty Officer 2nd Class Josh Pederzianicole, SCW-1. Petty Officer Hallen was selected as the TACAMO Junior Sailor of the Quarter.
· Blue Jacket of the Quarter: Petty Officer 3rd Class Tyrone Scott, VQ-3; Airman John Martinez-Cruz, VQ-4; Seaman Shauntay Skanes, VQ-7; Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan Richardson, SCW-1. Petty Officer Richardson was selected as the TACAMO Blue Jacket of the Quarter.
· CNATT Instructor of the Quarter: Petty Officer 2nd Class Melissa Dye
· VQ-7 Instructor of the Quarter: Petty Officer 1st Class James Littlefield
