552nd ACW change of command set for July 15 Published July 9, 2010 By Brandice J. Armstrong Staff Writer TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Col. John Rauch succeeds Col. Pat Hoffman July 15 as the 552nd Air Control Wing commander. The official change-of-command ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, at Bldg. 230, dock 2. Arriving from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., Colonel Rauch most recently served as vice commander of the 55th Wing. Colonel Rauch, a master navigator has more than 2,900 flying hours in the RC-135U/V/W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft and T-43 Bobcat. He entered the Air Force in 1989, having been commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Colorado at Denver. In his career, he has been stationed primarily at Offutt AFB, having completed nearly half of his assignments there. Colonel Hoffman leaves Tinker to become the foreign policy advisor to the commander of United States European Command.
