Commander names Wildcatter award winners Published June 17, 2010 Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Tech. Sgt. Rebecca Davidson 72nd LRS/LGRR, Deployment manager Sergeant Davidson, the 72nd Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment manager, is responsible for ensuring that all enlisted members receive the appropriate training prior to a deployment. She conducts bag-drag inspections, works with the Personnel Readiness Unit on all taskings, orders equipment and much more. She is also the unit performance/decorations monitor where she has ensured a 100 percent on-time rate for the last four years. Sergeant Davidson also performs duties as the unit's Weighted Airmen Promotion System Monitor, and Training NCO. Sergeant Davidson compiles unit data on squadron personnel, training equipment, and briefs the 72nd LRS senior leadership on the unit's monthly status. Sergeant Davidson has enrolled in Course 14 and is scheduled for a college class in January to finish her CCAF degree. She is involved with Tinker's Network 56 and recently assisted the Salvation Army in preparing more than 2,000 gift boxes for needy families. Patricia Harris 72nd Medical Group Family Medicine nurse practitioner Ms. Harris is an advanced nurse practitioner who served more than 1,300 patients during visits last year. She volunteered to help stand up the 72nd Medical Group flu clinic in face of a potential pandemic. She lead a five-person team that served more than 2,000 patients in four months. During that time the staff was 100 percent compliant with the training for vaccinations. Ms. Harris also handled more than 750 telephone advice calls for patients. Ms. Harris' quick diagnosis' led to proper care for several patients in emergency and non-emergency situations. Outside of the clinic, she volunteered for a home repair ministry where she assisted an elderly couple with work on their home and yard. She also coordinates activites for a Sunday school class for 3 to 5-year-olds. Staff Sgt. Shannel Weston 72nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron Bioenvironmental engineering technician Sergeant Weston served as the interim element leader during the four-month absence of the officer in charge. During that time, the element conducted 26 surveys and had zero lapses in coverage. She conducted a staff assistance visit for the squadron's six flights and helped identify and correct errors within 286 training records. Sergeant Weston is a member of the first responder team that responds to hazardous materials incidents during real world and exercise situations. She also served outside the Air Force, volunteering as a driver for meals on wheels, she delivered food to the elderly disabled, uplifting their spirits. She also worked as a mentor for underprivileged youth, volunteering nearly 900 hours as a positive role model.
