Brigadier general selection board
Eligibility criteria for the 2010 Brigadier General selection board (Board ID: B0711A): Colonels on the active duty list in the Line of the Air Force, Line of the Air Force - Judge Advocate, and Medical Corps competitive categories.
Chaplains, Dental Corps, Medical Service Corps, Biomedical Sciences Corps and Nurse Corps will not meet the 2010 Brigadier General Selection Board; however Promotion Recommendation Forms will still be required for these officers who have two years time in grade as of the board convening date of Aug. 3.
The member's Date of Rank must be Aug. 2, 2008 or earlier.

2010 Air Force Reserve general officer vacancy promotion board
Eligibility criteria for the 2010 AFR General Officer Vacancy Promotion Board (G0711A) that will convene July 8: Line of the Air Force colonels for promotion to the grade of brigadier general and Line of the Air Force brigadier generals for promotion to the grade of major general. The board is conducted IAW procedures outlined in AFI 36-2501, Officer Promotions and Selective Continuation. All eligible officers have been pre-screened using the criteria outlined in AFI 36-2504, para 12.2, Officer Promotion, Continuation and Selective Early Removal in the Reserve of the Air Force. Field grade officer promotions in medical field

Colonel, lieutenant colonel, and major medical/dental corps and colonel medical service corps 2010 promotion eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for the M0610A (colonel), M0510A (lieutenant colonel), and P0610B (colonel) selection boards you must have an extended active duty date of March 13 or earlier with a date of separation of Dec. 12, 2010 or later. To be eligible for the M0410A (major) selection boards you must have an EAD date of Sept. 12 or earlier with a date of separation of Dec. 12 or later. Also, officers on active duty under the Voluntary Recall Program or any other Reserve Recall Program must have at least one year on active duty as of the board convening date, starting from their new EAD date.

Officers are not eligible for consideration by a promotion board unless the Air Force Personnel Center's Accession Confirmation and Service Verification section has verified their service dates. MPSs can validate if this has been accomplished by using MilPDS SURF "RSBA12." If the "CNTRL-MARK" on the SURF is blank or equal to "N," then the officer's service dates have not been verified.

For medical/dental corps (colonel):
·Above-the-promotion zone date of rank: May 31, 2005 with a previous non-selection.
·In-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2005 - May 31, 2006.
·One year below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2007.
·Two years below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2007-May 31, 2008

For medical/dental corps (lieutenant colonel):
·Above-the-promotion zone date of rank: May 31, 2005 with a previous non-selection.
·In-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2005 - May 31, 2006.
·Below-the-Promotion Zone (1 year BPZ) dates of rank: June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2007.
·Below-the-Promotion Zone (2 year BPZ) dates of rank: June 1, 2007-May 31, 2008

For medical/dental corps (major):
·Above-the-promotion zone date of rank: May 31, 2005 with a previous non-selection.
·In-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2005 - May 31, 2006.
·One year below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2007.
·Two years below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: June 1, 2007-May 31, 2008

For medical service corps(colonel):
·Above-the-promotion zone dates of rank: July 31, 2005 - May 31, 2006.
·In-the-promotion zone dates of rank: Aug. 1, 2005-March 31, 2006
·One year below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: April 1, 2006 - Oct. 31, 2007.
·Two years below-the-promotion zone dates of rank: Nov. 1, 2006-Aug 31, 2007
