Navy spikes Dissa for win

It was anybody's match to win going into the second period as Navy went up against Dissa on the soccer pitch April 13. In the end the land-locked sailors decided they wanted it more and claimed the win 3-2 Tuesday night.

The fruit finally came for the Navy, following a scoreless first period where their front line dominated with possession time but failed to convert any goals.

But it was anchors aweigh in the second period. Forward Will Mullins booted one in for Navy at minute six of the to wet the offensive whistle. Navy wanted the "W" and showed it as Mullins was right back at the net at minute 10 with another goal with an assist by teammate Marcus Gass. Then, at minute 12, it was Tim McNew who found the back of the net to put Navy up 3-0 to end their offensive blitz.

Dissa managed to counter with two goals later in the period but to no avail. Nathan Pitcovich booted one past Navy's goalie at minute 20 and Todd Bayles followed up with a goal at minute 34.
