Navy finds land legs, boots 552nd ACNS Published April 8, 2010 By John Stuart Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- At the outset you might think there was no chance they would win. But, it turns out the guys on the Navy intramural soccer team have adapted to life on land pretty well. The score said as much April 6, as Navy bested the 552nd ACNS team 7-1. Facing a squad with only seven players present, Navy wasted no time Tuesday in building a hearty lead in the first period. Sam Buchs scored first in the game, followed by goals from Jaime Pablo and Tim McNew. The rout continued in the second period, as Aldo Arroyomeyer booted one over the goalie's hands at minute 13:00. Finally, 552nd ACNS got on the board as Lee Wilson kicked one past the Navy keeper. Navy then scored three straight to close out the game. Lawrence "The Hawaiian Sensation" Chun scored for Navy at 27 minutes. Two minutes later, Arroyomeyer followed him up with his second goal of the evening while Will Mullins closed it out with a score of his own.
