It was a bout of patience on Tuesday night at the flag football field, and the score said it all. It was a stalemate of a game throughout three and a half quarters. And with just three plays left in the game it was still zero to zero. But the VQ-7 storm had been building steadily against the Football Freaks, leading to one final drive toward the end zone.

Then, with moments left to play, the storm broke. The lightning flash was VQ-7 quarterback Victor Jean throwing the 20-yard pass over the middle. It was high, but receiver Nathan Hostettler went up to pick it down. And pick it down he did, for the touchdown. The storm had arrived.

The veritable thunder clap wasn't far behind, when VQ-7's Janai Holcomb connected with receiver Joe Collins on the next play for the successful two-point conversion. It was 8-0 and the Football Freaks were done. The VQ-7 tempest had won out.

"It was immaculate," said Hostettler of his touchdown reception. "It felt like it always should -- good."
