On Feb. 16, the Air Force honored its newest rated aviators with certificates of aeronautical rating and Air Battle Managers wings. The ceremony culminated two years of intensive training for this elite group of 8 young officers and professional military aviators. These new ABMs were trained by instructors from the 325th Air Control Squadron, Tyndall AFB, Fla., the instructors of Delaware Resource Group, the instructors of the 966th Airborne Air Control Squadron and the 552nd Training Squadron. These ABMs will now support the 552nd Air Control Wing's solitary mission to provide the world's best command and control anytime, anywhere.

1st Lt Jeremiah Weaver won the ABM Distinguished Graduate Award. It is sponsored by the Air Force Association and is given in honor of retired Air Force Col. Kevin "Jeep" Dunleavy who died on Jan. 28, 2007.
